At long last, after 4 years of trading online, we now own a shop !

Four friends have come together to start an independent record shop in Yeovil.

For some years now we have sold our records at Acorn Music owned by Chris Lowe. Chris has been trading as an independent music/record shop retailer in Yeovil for over 40 years, but decided to retire March 2015.

An opportunity arose for Chris to move from retirement to semi-retirement (most people do it the other way around) by opening a shop at a new venture in Yeovil.

Chris approached Rock Wallaby and asked if we would be interested in joining him and Anna (Chris's long serving and very patient assistant at Acorn Music)

Of course we said yes and the secret plans and clever tricks began.

Between us we have designed, purchased and built the shop from scratch. A task made all the more challenging in a Grade II listed, and listing, building without one horizontal or vertical wall, right angles, level floor or solid brick to drill into.

We will be trading at the shop under the established auspices of 'Acorn Records' but retain our Rock Wallaby website, Facebook page and Discogs Marketplace.

Chris will have over four thousand CD's for sale and we should have over six thousand 12" & 7" records for sale.
